The time of mortals flows by swiftly.
Even from the perspective of the gods who live for eternity, it is the same.
Before one realizes, the high priest of the temple that serves them has changed many times, and new nations have emerged.
After the Trojan War, the age of heroes gradually faded away.
Mythical monsters were no longer seen.
The gods also felt no need to nurture heroes...
The decisive turning point was due to Achilles.
The hero Achilles became the protagonist, depicting the desperate struggles of humans surviving amidst war and monsters.
"Most of the heroes who participated in the war did not return."
"Speaking of which, Agamemnon, the king of Mycenae, also did not return. Could he be food for some monster somewhere..."
"Rather than chasing after fleeting dreams, wouldn't it be better to work for family and country?"
Before participating in the Trojan War, they had shouted for honor and glory as they went to the battlefield... but the heroes realized the harsh reality.
Countless soldiers who could not return to their families, and those who did return spoke of the horrors of war.
And on top of all this, there was the story of Achilles drifting on Monster Island.
Those who reminisced about the age of heroes and pursued the values of honor and glory came to understand reality.
