A yellow mist, resembling both a snake and a fish, coiled and swirled around Yu Lie.
Compared to a moment ago, its form had become much clearer.
This was a sign that Yu Lie was nearing the completion of his final medicinal concoction.
Just a little more nurturing, and it would be fully formed.
However, Elder Fang had already decided to abandon the competition to save his adopted son.
In a moment of urgency, Yu Lie decided to recklessly draw on the yin energy from the stone yin fungus beneath him, forcing the medicinal concoction in the fire jar to mature rapidly.
This would allow him to use the fire-poison medicine immediately!
Although this would reduce the potency of the medicine to less than a third of its full potential, it was a rare opportunity to strike down Elder Fang.
If he missed this chance, Elder Fang wouldn’t just sit back and let himself be killed.
Seeing Yu Lie stand up with the fire jar in hand, Elder Fang’s heart skipped a beat.
He immediately realized, “Not good! This brat has concocted a fire-poison medicine based on gunpowder. Even a semi-finished product can be used directly. He’s not bluffing me!”
Elder Fang’s body trembled, and he halted his attempt to rescue his son.
Instead, he quickly pulled out protective talismans from his sleeve and activated them, layering three of them on himself.
