He was numb. What do you call a protagonist? This is a protagonist!
It was one thing for him to have immense talent, but the little sister he picked up was also a genius of inhuman proportions. The full name of the seed Jiang Beiran had given Nuomi was Spirit Sprout Flower. It required neither soil nor water to grow, only spiritual energy.
But if it was just left by the roadside, it wouldn't automatically absorb spiritual energy. It needed someone to help infuse spiritual energy into it. The more was infused, the faster it would grow.
It could be said to be the best tool for testing talent. This was because only those with a high affinity for spiritual energy could easily manipulate it, an innate talent cultivators were born with, requiring no instruction. The only difference would be in the speed.
Someone with average talent would probably have to stare at the Spirit Sprout Flower and meditate for days and nights just to make it sprout, and then spend even more time to make it grow and finally bloom into a splendid flower.
But Nuomi had only taken a few breaths' time to make the Spirit Sprout Flower sprout and bloom at a speed visible to the naked eye. Such speed, in any sect, would be considered top-tier talent. 'It seems the Tan Kingdom's selection process isn't that great, to have missed such a good seedling.'
