"【Target creature, life level 7.8, killing it will yield spiritual nutrients】"
"【Target creature...】" Li Yuan was cautious and quickly used his spiritual power to check the other two Moon Demon Wolves.
The results were similar, and Li Yuan felt relieved.
"Just like the information provided by Lin Lanyue, the adult Moon Demon Wolf is around level 8.0." Li Yuan thought to himself, "Once they rank up, their fur will gradually turn red."
The Moon Demon creatures, mainly the Moon Demon Wolves, were the primary race in the Moon Demon civilization according to the intel.
Before they rank up, their fur and skin are black.
After ranking up, as they absorb more of the Moon Demon energy, they will slowly change to 'red.'
Once fully red, they become - second-tier Moon Demon Wolves.
At this moment, Li Yuan sensed the presence of the three Moon Demon Wolves and instinctively felt a hint of disgust.
"Howl~"
"Roar!!" The three Moon Demon Wolves crouched low, their fierce eyes fixed on Li Yuan, filled with killing intent.
They were quite intelligent, and in their perception, this creature in front of them, which they found 'disgusting' and whose aura felt out of place, made them very uncomfortable.
However, the life energy they emitted didn’t seem very strong.
Three against one, they had a chance!
In the next moment.
Boom! Boom! Boom! The three Moon Demon Wolves suddenly roared and charged at Li Yuan, like three black shadows pouncing towards him.
"Kill!"
Li Yuan didn’t back down; instead, he moved forward like a swimming dragon, easily dodging their attack.
Then, he swung the black spear in his hand, which was two meters and four long, fiercely.
The spear danced in the air, its tip stabbing out like a venomous snake.
"Thud~"
"Thud!" In an instant, the jaws of the three Moon Demon Wolves were pierced by the spear tips, their massive bodies instinctively rushing forward for more than ten meters before crashing to the ground.
Blood splattered everywhere.
The three Moon Demon Wolves twitched a few times before finally lying still.
"【You killed a non-ranked creature, gaining spiritual nutrients, spiritual awakening level reached 0.7%】"
"【You... spiritual awakening level reached 0.8%】"
"【... spiritual awakening level reached 0.9%】" The Divine Palace Panel flashed three reminders in a row.
"Drip~Splash~"
The blood on the spear tip dripped onto the dry wood, splattering around.
Li Yuan took a deep breath, the last bit of tension in his heart completely dissipating.
He tightened his grip on the spear.
Scenes of practicing with the spear and fists since middle school flashed through his mind.
Not to mention the countless battles on the Star Combat Network.
Just like that blue-clad strong man said, six years of preparation was all for this moment.
"The last time I killed the Fish Spirit Clan, it was a sudden encounter." Li Yuan thought, "Today, I am fully prepared."
Li Yuan looked down at the three dead Moon Demon Wolves.
They were the first batch of Star Realm creatures he had truly killed.
"Martial arts is the way of killing!" Li Yuan murmured to himself, his understanding of this phrase deepening.
After quickly calming down.
"Non-ranked creatures, every time I kill one, I gain 0.1% of spiritual nutrients?" Li Yuan scanned the Divine Palace Panel and thought, "So to reach the upper limit of 20%, I need to kill 200?"
That seemed a bit tough.
How many Star Realm creatures had the military base released into the testing area? Most importantly, they were hard to find.
Also, as time passed, nearly a thousand students were gradually killing them, and the surviving Moon Demon Wolves would become fewer and fewer.
"One kill is better than none." Li Yuan thought, "Star Realm creatures aren't as hard to kill as I imagined."
Li Yuan understood this was largely due to the information Lin Lanyue provided.
He had figured out the weaknesses of the Moon Demon Wolves in advance.
"Points +3." Li Yuan glanced at the record in his positioning wristband:
Testing Points: 3
Points Ranking: 8
Note: Did not meet the minimum requirement for practical assessment.
Li Yuan walked through the forest, following the video guide, continuously heading towards the gathering place of the Moon Demon Wolf Group No. 5.
Along the way.
Whether from behind or from the forest, occasionally a Moon Demon Wolf would leap out and charge at Li Yuan.
But none were a match for him.
Under a large rock, a black shadow darted towards Li Yuan like lightning.
"Thud!"
The spear flashed and instantly pierced the head of the Moon Demon Wolf, then the spear tip quickly retracted, and the massive wolf's body fell heavily to the ground, unmoving.
Blood began to flow.
"That’s the eleventh one." Li Yuan glanced at the large wolf's body, "This Moon Demon Wolf, judging by its speed, is probably over level 9.0, and it raised my spiritual awakening level by 0.3% in one go."
After killing so many Moon Demon Wolves, Li Yuan gradually discovered that killing non-ranked Star Realm creatures didn’t always yield a 0.1% increase; the stronger the Moon Demon Wolf, the more the increase after killing it.
"I hope to encounter a ranked Moon Demon Wolf soon." Li Yuan felt a sense of anticipation.
In terms of physical constitution, Li Yuan was already at level 8.9.
In terms of skills, he was even at rank four.
As he gradually adapted to the life-and-death battles, it could be said that non-ranked Moon Demon Wolves posed no challenge for him at all.
With his excellent skills and equipment, Li Yuan could easily fight above his level.
At 11:30 AM, in the core area of the Moon Demon Wolf Group No. 5 gathering place.
In the dense jungle, amidst the towering rocks, the angry roars of the Moon Demon Wolves echoed, filled with rage, and there were sounds of many Moon Demon Wolves charging.
Whoosh!
A sturdy figure, incredibly agile, wielding a sword and shield, was crazily darting among the rocks, occasionally forcing back a Moon Demon Wolf with flashes of the blade, but it was hard to inflict damage.
Buzz~ A combat drone hovered silently dozens of meters above, ready to drop down for rescue at any moment.
"Damn it!"
"Damn it!" Dong Haifeng gritted his teeth, fear flickering in his eyes, "I’ve only killed a few pups, how did I attract so many Moon Demon Wolves?"
"And those two idiots, seeing the situation was bad, ran away first."
It was Li Yuan's classmate - Dong Haifeng.
He looked quite embarrassed.
"I only have 8 points now. If I choose to call for help, my points will be halved, leaving me with only 4 points." Dong Haifeng felt a mix of unwillingness and helplessness; one-on-one, with his strength, killing an adult Moon Demon Wolf wasn't hard.
But now, there were too many Moon Demon Wolves.
"Howl~"
"Roar!" As time passed, the number of Moon Demon Wolves chasing after him grew larger.
The Moon Demon Wolves were already fast.
Suddenly.
"Roar~" An angry low growl sounded, followed by a blurred red figure streaking across from the distant mountains, like a black-red shadow flying over.
The speed was astonishing.
"Ranked Moon Demon Wolf?" Dong Haifeng recognized it at a glance, his face changing dramatically, instinctively wanting to help.
Failing the assessment would only cost him fifty thousand Blue Star Coins.
Better than losing his life.
Just then.
"Boom!" From another direction in the dark valley, a black figure suddenly burst out, his speed equally impressive, charging straight at the massive Moon Demon Wolf leader.
"Li Yuan?" Dong Haifeng recognized the black figure's face and couldn't help but shout anxiously, "Be careful! Retreat quickly, that’s a ranked Star Realm creature..."
He didn’t like Li Yuan, but it was just the kind of dislike between classmates.
He didn’t want to see Li Yuan die.
Suddenly, Dong Haifeng's voice choked, his eyes filled with shock.
"Thud~"
"Clang!" Li Yuan seemed to ignore him, holding his spear, and had already collided with the charging Moon Demon Wolf leader, the two instantly engaging in combat.
The clash was too fast.
Li Yuan wielded the spear, moving like a swimming dragon; although his speed was slightly slower than the Moon Demon Wolf leader, he easily dodged its attacks.
After avoiding the claws twice, Li Yuan's spear, like a dragon, suddenly burst forth, whistling as it stabbed forward fiercely.
"Thud!"
The spear tip, like a dragon, with incredible torque, pierced through the gaps in the scales and into the Moon Demon Wolf's abdomen, blood splattering everywhere.
"Howl~" The Moon Demon Wolf leader let out a mournful cry, and as its front limbs hit the ground, its hind legs swung its tail, its massive body leaping into the air, trying to create distance from the spear tip.
"Die."
Li Yuan, however, took the opportunity to retract the spear and stepped forward, gathering strength to thrust the spear again.
This time, the Moon Demon Wolf leader was in mid-air, with no place to gain leverage, watching helplessly as the spear came at it.
"Thud!"
The spear instantly pierced through the fur and into the creature's head.
One strike, and it was dead!
"Boom~" The massive body of the Moon Demon Wolf leader crashed heavily against the boulder, struggling weakly.
"【You killed a ranked creature, gaining spiritual nutrients, spiritual awakening level reached 5.7%】" The Divine Palace Panel flashed a prompt.
"Roar~"
"Howl~" The more than twenty Moon Demon Wolves that had been chasing Dong Haifeng suddenly stopped, staring at Li Yuan in fear.
Their powerful leader had been killed.
Li Yuan retracted his spear, his gaze sweeping over the shocked Dong Haifeng, and he smiled faintly, "Dong Haifeng, what a coincidence."
"Two strikes, and you killed a ranked Moon Demon Wolf?" Dong Haifeng swallowed hard, staring at Li Yuan in shock, "Is Li Yuan's combat ability really this strong?"
