At that moment, all three felt a wave of scorching heat rise from below, and they simultaneously shouted, "Be careful!" They hurried their pace, as several fire pillars shot into the sky.
Looking down, they saw even more magma wraiths gathering!
Xie Lian said, "Feng Xin, give me Mu Qing!"
Without hesitation, Feng Xin threw Mu Qing onto Xie Lian's back.
Mu Qing urged, "Hurry up and deal with them, annoying pests!"
Feng Xin replied, "What are you complaining about?" He pulled back his bow and shot a flurry of arrows.
His weapon had a far greater range than the random attacks of Xie Lian and Feng Xin, causing explosions of crimson flames below, accompanied by wails.
Xie Lian cheered, "Well done!"
Mu Qing, perched on his back, said, "Not bad!"
The vengeful spirits were furious, and after a brief discussion, they moved further ahead and worked together to spew fire upwards.
With several loud crashes, Xie Lian remarked, "They’ve burned a section of the bridge ahead. They're trying to cut off our escape route!"
Feng Xin cursed, "What the hell! Why are they banding up like this? If they want to harm others, they should just leave it alone! I bet they won't be able to rise from the magma for another eight thousand years!"
He lifted his bow, causing the magma wraiths to scatter again.
