Xie Lian called out, “Lord Rain Master!”
The Rain Master sat atop a black bull and nodded slightly at him.
Behind her was Pei Ming, soaked from the torrential rain and scorched by flames, looking like a drowned rat with his hair a mess.
Awakening in a daze, he realized it was the Rain Master who had saved him.
Though she was focused on riding the bull and hadn’t even looked at him, he felt rather embarrassed being seen in such a disheveled state.
He quickly stood up and said, “Rain…”
As soon as he opened his mouth, a puff of black smoke escaped.
Rong Guang furiously exclaimed, “You have to rely on a woman to save you? And it’s the Rain Master! Pei Ming, how shameful!”
Pei Ming grew angry and retorted, spitting out another cloud of black smoke. “Can you just shut up for once!”
Meanwhile, Pei Su and the Half Moon troops supported the Rain Master as she descended gracefully from the sky; on the other side, a giant of demonic fire loomed, with countless rocks tumbling down.
These stones were ablaze, hurtling toward the ground like a shower of meteorites.
The rain fell heavier, but the flames raged on, showing that Jun Wu had strengthened the fire’s magical power.
