Even though the outlines of the surrounding branches and leaves were clear, the face of that shadow remained impossible to discern. It seemed as if a swirl of sinister wind and black mist surrounded it.
The Wind Master's fan was nothing short of a supreme treasure, capable of dissipating demonic fog and bringing clarity to the world. Xie Lian, having learned the spell from Shi Qingxuan, silently recited it in his heart and waved the fan gracefully. A gale surged from seemingly nowhere, sending a shiver through the leaves in all directions and uprooting several fragile saplings; the power was undoubtedly formidable. Unfortunately, the wind blew a bit off-target and missed the intended mark.
The treasure wasn't easy to wield. After all, he wasn't the rightful owner of the Wind Master's fan, so naturally, he couldn't control it as skillfully as Shi Qingxuan, struggling with both the angle and the force, either too strong or too weak, too off-course or backwards.
Realizing this, Xie Lian decisively changed his strategy, snapped the fan shut with a "slap" and used it as a weapon, aiming strikes at his opponent's vital points.
