#112 You Can't Trust Politicians I never trust anyone in politics. I chose and backed candidate Kim Hak-kwon to prevent the presidential candidate influenced by the Blue Wind Association from being elected. It wasn't because I trusted the politician named Kim Hak-kwon.
“They say they're transferring the case to the National Intelligence Service. They'll be sending people here to take us there soon.”
After the Kim Hak-kwon administration took office, I approached the new head of intelligence as soon as he was appointed. No matter how much the National Intelligence Service was ignored by other countries for its political moves, its intelligence gathering capabilities in Korea were outstanding.
“That man, Lee Chan-jong, he won't get any funny ideas, will he?”
“He might not know the exact extent of your wealth, Boss, but he probably has a rough idea. That's part of the reason he was so easy to win over.”
“I'll have to prepare a nice position for him, then.”
The information about me gathered by the National Intelligence Service was processed by Director Lee Chan-jong of the National Intelligence Service before being passed on.
“You can't trust politicians.”
I smiled and shook my head.
“Let's stick to the original plan. We need to use this opportunity to send a warning to the Kim Hak-kwon administration.”
