“Just as I thought!”
Wu Pifu’s face lit up with complete understanding.
Clearly, even these transcendent beings didn’t quite grasp the behavior of the kings, nobles, and ministers.
Although it was obvious something was off, without a doubt, no one had ever probed too deeply.
Just as he had come to know, this world had already entered the Steam Age for over a thousand years.
Something had forcibly stalled the progress of civilization in this world and even warped the thoughts of its people.
So... was it the Five Gods? Or that mysterious foundation?
Since arriving in this world, Wu Pifu had already learned a lot from the gentlemen and ladies here, as well as from the kings and nobles.
This world was not the Earth as he had initially thought, but rather an unknown planet or realm with only three continents: the Western Continent, the Eastern Continent, and the Southern Continent.
The Western Continent was the strongest, master of ships and cannons, having entered the Steam Age.
It dominated the entire world’s ocean voyages, establishing many colonies on the Southern Continent, and had gradually pushed inland from the coasts of the Eastern Continent.
Many black-skinned and yellow-skinned laborers—slaves—came from these two continents.
The Western Continent had many countries, but nearly all were monarchies or aristocracies.
