At the very moment Wu Pifu raised his fist, the tentacle ahead was still about twenty kilometers away—just over a second before the shuttle would collide.
His lips moved rapidly, and a voice issued forth.
The onboard intelligent system wasn’t a human, and Wu Pifu had no knowledge if its intelligence housed a human soul.
Yet in this last moment, he still spoke:
“... Afraid of death?”
The voice came out in a special fast-paced sound that ordinary humans could hardly catch, but the intelligent system could effortlessly recognize it.
In less than a tenth of a second, it replied swiftly:
“Meaning unclear, please explain.”
Wu Pifu shook his head slightly, saying no more.
He focused all his attention, and the entire shuttle surged forward, crashing into the tip of the tentacle that rose from the surface of the moon.
In an instant, Wu Pifu's fist swung forward.
A visible ripple burst forth from where his fist met the tentacle’s tip.
The symbiotic armor on Wu Pifu’s arm immediately shattered, then his fist’s outer skin, muscle—only the bones remained, cracked inch by inch but still intact without shattering completely.
At the same moment, the tentacle tip being struck turned instantly to ashes.
