Shubao was already rubbing his little claws together, impatient and ready.
Cheng Xin-zhan fed the old Sha he’d been keeping to the bug first.
Among the newly acquired Earth-Sha there were eight in total.
Five of them were earth-and-metal related — “Lower Spring Yin-Prison Sha,” “Yin-Ruins Ghost-Lantern Sha,” “Fertile Fields Abundance Sha,” “Turning Earth to Gold Sha,” and “Shouyang Red-Smoke Sha.” Those two Yin and three Yang Sha needed to be personally refined by him first, with some kept in the Yin-Yang Hall to meditate on the meaning of Yin and Yang before he could feed them to the bug.
The other three — “Cold-Owl Yin-Wind Sha,” “Tide-Moon Illusion Wave Sha,” and “Rushing-Tide Cloud-Parting Sha” — weren’t earth-and-metal related but they were new Sha as well.
Two of them were Water-Sha that could be of great use out on the sea, so those also needed to be refined and comprehended quickly.
So inside the cave dwelling, Cheng Xin-zhan and Shubao each divided the Earth-Sha between them in silence, yet with relish.
Half a month later.
Cheng Xin-zhan looked at the magic cloth in his hand, nodded in satisfaction.
