"You've done well. Since you've fully absorbed the spiritual energy and can create this Palace of Light, it shows that your mental strength has reached a sufficient level. The next step is to circulate your energy."
"Please guide me, Master."
Wen Sukong smiled and nodded, then said to Yun Qi, "Now, focus your thoughts. No matter what you see next, do not let your concentration waver."
Yun Qi acknowledged.
Master Sukong stood on a solitary island in the dark world, looking around.
She said to Yun Qi, "This world is not like this. Next, you will see the true inner landscape of your body."
Master Sukong formed a hand seal, and with it as the core, a brilliant light erupted.
The intense light forced Yun Qi to close his eyes.
The Palace of Light before them lived up to its name.
After a moment of adjustment, Yun Qi slowly opened his eyes.
The sight before him almost took his breath away.
The place where they stood was now filled with a purple mist, no longer shrouded in darkness.
Looking into the distance, the scene was even more dazzling, like a galaxy of stars.
Surrounding the purple light of the Palace of Light were numerous smaller light clusters.
Below, on either side, were two green light clusters, and in front of them were two grayish light clusters.
Below the gray clusters was a network of silver light, and beneath that was a massive, elongated yellow light cluster, resembling a tall building.
Yun Qi walked to the edge of the floating island he had created and peered down.
Below the yellow light cluster was an even vaster space, dominated by five enormous light clusters that almost filled his entire field of vision.
They were red, green, yellow, white, and black.
Beyond these five clusters, there were countless smaller light clusters and pathways connecting them.
As Yun Qi observed the distribution of the light clusters and the pathways, he gradually understood.
"Is this my body?"
The red, green, yellow, white, and black light clusters clearly corresponded to the positions of the five organs.
The two green light clusters, two gray clusters, and the silver cluster around the Palace of Light matched the positions of the ears, eyes, and nose.
The smaller light clusters and pathways formed the shape of the limbs and torso.
Master Sukong nodded.
"These light clusters are your major acupoints, and the pathways are your meridians."
She pointed to the clusters below and explained, "Those are the ear acupoints, nose acupoints, and throat acupoints, also known as the Wind Mansion, Thunder Mansion, and Cloud Mansion. In internal alchemy, these three acupoints are believed to correspond to celestial phenomena."
Those are the heart, liver, spleen, lungs, and kidneys, also known as the Heart Mansion, Wood Mansion, Earth Mansion, Metal Mansion, and Water Mansion.
These five acupoints correspond to the five elements of heaven and earth.
"That is the eye acupoint, also known as the Hall of Yin and Yang, resonating with the dual forces of heaven and earth."
As for where we are now, this is your spiritual acupoint, called the Purple Palace.
It is the realm of thought and the source of mental strength.
"However, since you have not yet opened any acupoints, these acupoints are only manifested as chaotic light clusters. Once you open them, what you see will be a different scene."
Earlier, I used the [Tongming Spell] to illuminate your inner landscape.
Later, I will teach you the spell, and in the future, you can use it to observe your inner self.
"Yun Qi thanked her. Master Sukong flicked her finger, and a golden light appeared before them, forming a pattern of dots and connecting lines."
Do you see it?
"Master Sukong asked. Yun Qi looked at the image and said,"The dots seem to be acupoints, and the lines are meridians.
Is this the path for energy circulation?
"Master Sukong nodded approvingly."
This is the Zhou Tian Energy Circulation Diagram.
Because it resembles a star chart, it is also called the Wandering Star Diagram.
This diagram must not be shared.
If others obtain it, they can target your key acupoints during combat, causing your energy to leak or even leading to a loss of control.
"Yun Qi nodded, committing it to memory."
Now, use the Five-Word Spell to absorb energy.
"Yun Qi understood. Dividing his attention should not be difficult for him. Indeed, with just a try, he succeeded. Part of his mind remained in the inner landscape, while the other part controlled his physical body. His body remained seated with eyes closed, and he was about to stand up when he heard Master Sukong's voice in the inner landscape, reminding him with a smile,"No need to stand.
Just imagine the movements in the inner landscape and keep your breathing synchronized.
"Yun Qi was puzzled but followed the instruction. In the inner landscape, Yun Qi stood with his feet apart, chest slightly forward, back straight, and knees slightly bent—the posture for the [He] Word Spell. As he imagined exhaling, he silently recited the word [He], and his physical body exhaled simultaneously, then began to inhale. Huh! Yun Qi was startled. His physical body had actually absorbed fire energy!"
The inner landscape and the physical body are always one.
Do not see them as separate worlds,"Master Sukong said with a smile." Look, the energy is coming.
"In the inner landscape, Yun Qi followed Master Sukong's pointing finger and saw a stream of fiery red energy appear out of nowhere, rushing into the throat acupoint, the Cloud Mansion."
The spiritual energy absorbed through breathing, whether through the mouth or nose, ultimately enters the throat acupoint.
The throat acupoint is the Cloud Mansion, also known as the Twelve-Storied Tower.
External spiritual energy and internal saliva both pass through the throat acupoint.
In the future, when your spiritual power reaches a bottleneck, you will need to open the Cloud Mansion and clear the Twelve-Storied Tower to increase your power.
"Yun Qi nodded, watching as the fire energy in the Cloud Mansion gradually dissipated. He said,"This is how it is.
Previously, the absorbed spiritual energy would first enter the five organs, then merge into the flesh and blood.
Now, after absorption, it just dissipates.
"Master Sukong smiled."
If your organs and body were not already well-nurtured, this energy would be absorbed as soon as it entered the throat acupoint.
How could you circulate it?
Follow me!
"Master Sukong grabbed Yun Qi's arm and suddenly flew down from the floating island, taking him to the Twelve-Storied Tower. Only when they got closer did Yun Qi realize how massive the throat acupoint was. The yellow light cluster before him was at least a hundred feet tall!"
Do you know how to thread a needle?
"Master Sukong asked. Yun Qi was puzzled."
Now, you are the needle, and the spiritual energy is the thread.
You need to attach the energy to your thoughts and let it follow your will.
Where your thoughts go, the energy follows.
"Now, guide the energy with your thoughts and follow me."
With that, Master Sukong flew away from the Twelve-Storied Tower.
Yun Qi connected his thoughts to the spiritual energy.
Having once built a Palace of Light in his mind, he was no stranger to using mental strength.
Like a fisherman casting a net, a woodcutter bundling firewood, or a river rafter guiding logs, Yun Qi wrapped the spiritual energy with his thoughts and dragged it along.
At that moment, Master Sukong's voice came from ahead, "Do not stop absorbing energy!"
Yun Qi understood and divided his attention again, using the [He] Word Spell to absorb energy.
A torrent of fire energy poured down from the top of the Twelve-Storied Tower like a waterfall, pushing from behind and making it easier for Yun Qi to drag the energy as he followed Master Sukong.
Master Sukong led the way, instructing as she went:
"First, go to the Heart Mansion and knock on the door, then turn to the Crimson Palace to pay homage. Next, reverse the Ren Meridian, pass through the navel, descend, bypass the Yellow Court, then turn to the Du Meridian, follow the energy, pass through the perineum, coccyx, life gate, major vertebra, and jade pillow, ascend to the crown of the head, then skim past the Purple Palace, return to the Twelve-Storied Tower, and finally return to the Heart Mansion."
In this manner, Master Sukong led the way, and Yun Qi dragged the energy behind, moving from top to bottom and back again, reversing the Ren Meridian and following the Du Meridian, passing the Twelve-Storied Tower twice, and finally stopping at the entrance of the Heart Mansion.
"This is called circulating energy through the Zhou Tian. What remains behind you is the spiritual energy that has been refined and mixed with your own essence, forming your spiritual power."
Standing at the entrance of the Heart Mansion, Master Sukong explained to Yun Qi.
Yun Qi looked back.
The vast torrent of fire energy that had first appeared at the Twelve-Storied Tower was now gone.
What remained was a misty red fog, like a veil.
Yun Qi touched the red fog.
It felt neither like water nor gas, but warm and soft.
When he let go, the red fog detached and began to circle the Heart Mansion.
"Your Heart Mansion is not yet open, so it cannot contain spiritual power. This power will dissipate completely within forty-nine days."
Seeing this, Master Sukong explained, then added:
"This Zhou Tian route is called the 'Single-Phase Fire Zhou Tian.' Besides fire, there are also wood, water, metal, and earth phases. Beyond the five elements, there are wind and thunder phases. Beyond single-phase Zhou Tian, there are dual-phase Zhou Tian, such as the union of heart and kidney, the intertwining of wind and thunder, and the combination of wind and fire. Beyond dual-phase Zhou Tian, there is the rotation of the five elements."
But all these are collectively called small Zhou Tian.
Beyond small Zhou Tian, there is medium Zhou Tian, which requires guiding yin and yang energies and opening the Yellow Court.
Beyond medium Zhou Tian, there is grand Zhou Tian, which involves circulating the primordial spirit, moving between the Crimson Palace, Yellow Court, and Purple Palace.
Circulating grand Zhou Tian absorbs spiritual energy on the scale of rivers.
"Yun Qi could hardly imagine what the inner landscape would look like when circulating grand Zhou Tian."
Additionally, once you cultivate your inner spirit, the circulation of spiritual energy will be handled by the inner spirit.
At that point, the accumulation of spiritual power will be faster and more substantial.
"Yun Qi was even more fascinated after hearing this."
Now, I will teach you the 'Zhou Tian Hundred Acupoints Inner Landscape Sutra' and the 'Yang Fire Yin Talisman True Form Diagram.' The former explains the innate properties and acquired functions of the body's acupoints, while the latter is an energy circulation diagram focused on the heart, kidneys, and five organs.
You can practice these on your own.
"Additionally, I will teach you the 'Guangcheng Summoning Void Free Will Spell,' which contains forty-nine characters, each corresponding to a spell. Study them carefully. This is a spell that directly targets the root. The power of the spell depends on the caster's understanding of the characters and the depth of their spiritual power. If you study diligently, you can use these characters to illuminate your inner landscape."
Alright, today I have taught you the methods of inner observation, energy circulation, the theory of the inner landscape, and the theory of Zhou Tian.
Go back and study them well.
Additionally, you can learn other energy absorption techniques and spells, and start practicing techniques like refining treasures and alchemy.
When you feel the time is right, report to the External Affairs Hall and go out to gain experience.
Opening your mansions as soon as possible is crucial.
"With that, Master Sukong suddenly disappeared from Yun Qi's inner landscape. Yun Qi's consciousness also left the inner landscape and returned to his physical body. He opened his eyes and found that Master Sukong was no longer in the bamboo pavilion, but in his arms were three jade slips."
Press the jade slips to your forehead, focus your thoughts, and you can access their contents.
The key to the jade slips is the 'Single-Phase Fire Zhou Tian' route diagram.
Remember, these techniques must not be shared.
"Master Sukong's voice echoed in the bamboo forest. Yun Qi stood up and bowed."
I will remember, Master.
Thank you."--- Yun Qi stored the three jade slips and returned to his room. He felt a sense of accomplishment. After over two hundred days of cultivation, he had finally developed spiritual power.
He couldn't wait to try it out. He first picked up the jade slip inscribed with the words"Guangcheng Summoning Void Free Will Spell." The characters were in cloud script, but fortunately, after over two hundred days of frequenting the Fangtang Library, the young Taoist had learned most of the cloud script.
Following Master Sukong's instructions, he pressed the jade slip to his forehead and closed his eyes. This time, without Master Sukong's [Tongming Spell], his thoughts were plunged into darkness. He wasn't concerned and focused on sensing.
Sure enough, in a corner of the dark world, he detected a faint light. He concentrated his thoughts and rushed into the light. The place was bright, completely different from the dark void.
In a white mist floated many light spots, some large, some small, and of various colors. After observing for a while, Yun Qi realized this was the Zhou Tian acupoint diagram of the human body.
He used his thoughts to move the light spots, following the sequence: Cloud Mansion - Heart Mansion - Crimson Palace - Navel - Yellow Court - Perineum - Coccyx - Life Gate - Major Vertebra - Jade Pillow - Crown - Purple Palace - Cloud Mansion - Heart Mansion. When the last light spot moved, the white mist dissipated.
As the mist cleared, golden characters appeared in the white void, arranged in seven rows and seven columns, totaling forty-nine large characters, all in cloud script. Yun Qi scanned them and recognized words like: Fix, Manifest, Swift, Seal, Forbid, Split, Create, Drown, Burn, Suppress, Attach, Transform, Trap, Respond, Disperse, Hide... He decided to try one.
After some thought, he chose the character [Burn], as his only spiritual power was fire-based, increasing his chances of success. He touched the [Burn] character with his thoughts, and instantly, Yun Qi's consciousness was pulled into a world of fire.
The ground was a sea of molten lava, and the sky was filled with red clouds and fiery rain—a scene of hell. As Yun Qi's consciousness entered, the fiery clouds in the sky swirled and formed a hand seal—a left hand with the index finger pointing directly at him, the other four fingers curled into the palm.
"Burn!"
A syllable echoed through the hellish landscape, and the entire scene began to churn. Hearing the syllable, Yun Qi felt as if his thoughts were about to be burned to nothingness. He quickly pulled back, retreating from the hellish world to the jade slip world, then to the dark inner landscape, and finally back to the physical world.
Yun Qi's eyes snapped open, the jade slip falling from his hand, his forehead drenched in sweat. He picked up the jade slip, gasping for breath, recalling the hellish scene and the sensation of his thoughts being burned. He was still shaken, filled with lingering fear.
If not for the nine months of building the Palace of Light and consolidating his thoughts, that single moment might have cost him his consciousness. It took him a while to calm down, his mind repeatedly replaying the hand seal and the syllable. He stood up, looked around, and found nothing suitable.
He then left his room and went to the opposite furnace, pulling out a piece of wood. He placed the wood in the center of the courtyard and stood ten steps away, not daring to get too close.
With his feet firmly planted, he slowly raised his left hand, pointing his index finger to the sky while curling the other fingers into his palm. Yun Qi focused on the wooden stake, his thoughts channeling the only strand of spiritual power around his Heart Mansion. He lowered his hand, pointing his index finger directly at the stake.
His thoughts guided the spiritual power to his fingertip, then through it, landing on the stake. At the same time, Yun Qi uttered the syllable:"Burn!"
As soon as the word left his lips, the wooden stake burst into roaring flames.
The flickering firelight reflected in Yun Qi's eyes, turning his pupils a fiery red.
