In the vast, empty lower hall of the spaceship, Yu Hong walked alone, quietly making his way through the deserted, silent metallic chamber.
He passed through wall after wall of flickering blue magical arrays.
No one accompanied him, and there wasn’t a single sound or movement besides his footsteps.
The spaceship hummed along steadily, and Yu Hong kept his head bowed, silently moving forward.
“What’s going on? Why are you here all alone?” Suddenly, Kuhan’s figure appeared in a flash, stepping out from the teleportation array embedded in the wall ahead.
Seeing Yu Hong alone, Kuhan’s expression flickered with surprise as he softly asked.
“Just feeling a bit down, so I’m taking a walk,” Yu Hong replied, glancing up at him and forcing a weak smile onto his face.
“Taking a walk, huh? I’ll keep you company,” Kuhan chuckled. “How’s the examination going? Any solutions for the memory loss yet?”
His smile faded as he stepped closer, whispering gently.
Yu Hong shook his head lightly but remained silent, continuing on past the arrays, heading toward the metal ladder leading up a level.
Kuhan followed close behind, his eyes seeming to grasp the answer already.
Many things — no need to ask directly.
He could tell from a friend’s demeanor alone.
