Nina seemed to focus on something quite subtle, but for Shirley, that was a good thing. She had secretly regarded this seemingly simple and ordinary girl as a close companion of a shadow from another space—like a daughter. The less negative impression she had in front of this companion, the higher her chances of survival in front of the big boss would be.
Nina, however, had no idea how many thoughts were hidden behind Shirley's awkward and stiff smile. The girl was both surprised and a bit excited because she had never been so close to a real extraordinary person before (going to church didn't count). Her understanding of such matters was limited to books, and in her eyes, Shirley, who was using some kind of "extraordinary illusion" to infiltrate the school and investigate events, seemed to be surrounded by a mysterious and powerful aura.
