A ghostly green fire flickered like a moving shadow, sweeping through the entire factory in just a few seconds. This disturbance from a higher power felt like a gust of wind, lifting the veil that covered "reality." As a result, the truth hidden beneath that veil was revealed to Sherry and Duncan.
Ashes were everywhere—human-shaped ashes, shapeless ashes, blackened walls, melted roofs, and twisted, brittle machine shells piled together with nearly unrecognizable molten debris. The whole factory area looked like a fiery hell that had only recently cooled down. The flames had gone out, but the power that had burned everything still lingered in the air.
Sherry stood dazed in the center of this wreckage, her eyes somewhat vacant. A Dog quietly approached her side, gently supporting her with its bony back.
Soon, the ghostly green fire faded away, and everything in the factory returned to its original state.
