"so, it’s really you… do you still remember me?"
Mi Xueyao’s voice was soft, her gaze fixed upon Li Hao.
As her words fell, everyone around was stunned.
They turned their shocked eyes toward Li Hao in disbelief.
This youth actually knew a member of the Ancient Demon Royal Clan?
"This war—was it your clan that started it?"
Li Hao didn’t pay any attention to the surprised and doubtful looks around him.
His face remained calm as he questioned her.
"Does it matter?"
Mi Xueyao, seeing the coldness on his face, allowed the last trace of warmth that had once stirred faintly in her heart to fade.
Now, in the midst of this battlefield, she belonged to the Ancient Demon Clan, while the young man before her was of the human race.
Back then, she had been willing to help Li Hao slay an Ancient Demon only because the Southern Domain’s tribes of Ancient Demons had not yet allied, and her own clan even had friction with them.
Killing a few of them didn’t matter.
But now, the Eastern Domain Ancient Demons had joined together as one force.
She could not possibly slay her own kin again—unless Li Hao was willing to use his culinary art to serve her.
If so, she would not mind turning these “allies” into divine nourishment for her Primordial Spirit.
"Indeed, there’s no difference," Li Hao said quietly.
