For safety, it’s always good to have extra hands. There are many tasks in the Spirit Herb Garden that don’t require much skill, and even ordinary folks can manage just fine. Thus, it’s not necessary to waste the cultivation time of our outer sect disciples. However, when special tasks arise that do need cultivators, we’ll bring in our outer sect people. Some tasks offer rewards, and some don't.
Typically, the work in the Spirit Herb Garden isn’t tough, but when there’s a rush, it’s the common folks who suffer. Before I came to the Spirit Herb Garden, those people lived in constant fear because of this. Inner sect disciples don’t always treat them kindly, and an unhappy disciple is the root of trouble.
