In a daze.
Lin Yuan opened his eyes.
"Did I die just like that?"
Images of stepping into the space-time crack flashed in Lin Yuan's mind.
It was an endless chaotic flow of space.
No color, no direction.
Before Lin Yuan could react, he started to disintegrate.
The Taiji Domain, his body, spirit, soul, everything.
Completely crumbled.
"Good thing I didn't go in twenty years ago, or I would've wasted all that time."
Lin Yuan thought to himself.
The moment he first saw the space-time crack, an overwhelming sense of danger surged within him.
So he decisively left.
He spent the next twenty years traveling the world.
He pursued understanding of the Dao while helping solve a few troublesome issues for the Great Flame Dynasty,
and cultivated several Martial Gods, solidifying the Liu family's rule.
"How did that ancient divine being from ten thousand years ago leave?"
Lin Yuan wondered,
Based on his deduction, the ancient divine being was at most at the peak of the fourth tier,
absolutely not exceeding the fifth tier.
Facing that kind of chaotic space flow, even at the fifth tier, one couldn't survive long.
"Forget it."
Lin Yuan didn't bother thinking too much.
He began to review his journey.
Undoubtedly, the biggest gain from this traversal for Lin Yuan,
was developing the third and fourth tier levels of the Martial Dao evolution system.
Although before traversing, Lin Yuan had already stepped into the third tier.
But that was just entering the third tier,
The middle, late, and peak stages of the third tier were all perfected in the Divine Weapon World.
Eventually, he even broke into the fourth tier.
It should be known that the path Lin Yuan chose for cultivation was the most difficult, focusing on the core essence of rules.
If it were just an ordinary breakthrough to the fourth tier, Lin Yuan wouldn't have spent so long.
"Essence of rules."
Lin Yuan stepped down from the nutrient chamber, faintly sensing the vast and boundless grand rules of the Cosmic Starry Sky from all directions.
Compared to the essence of rules in the Divine Weapon World, the main world's essence of rules is overwhelmingly stronger.
Not just vast, but also more complete.
In the main world, trying to forcibly extract the core essence of rules like the ancient divine being is almost impossible.
It's not a matter of strength; anyone who dares to do so will inevitably be crushed by the immense power of the main world.
"It's been over two days, not bad."
Lin Yuan glanced at the time, gaining a sense of it.
The one hundred sixty years in the Divine Weapon World translated to just over fifty hours in the main world.
"My current realm... roughly equivalent to the ninth segment of the fourth tier?"
Lin Yuan examined himself, after suppressing the Sun and Moon Spear, he entered the fourth tier just over ten years ago.
The following eight or nine years were spent setting up nodes on the Five Peaks Battlefield,
to form a Taiji Furnace to suppress the thirty-five Divine Weapons.
In the subsequent twenty years wandering the world, he truly embraced understanding and cultivation.
The advancements from the first to the ninth segment of the fourth tier were mostly perfected in these twenty years.
Of course, one's realm is one thing,
Lin Yuan's current strength still remained at the initial stage of the third tier.
"Choose the right cosmic spirit objects, and I can recover quickly."
Lin Yuan opened the marketplace and began selecting.
For an evolver, the most crucial is one's realm.
As for energy intensity? If you lose control over your realm, it's meaningless.
"These two should do."
Lin Yuan considered for a moment, deciding on his selection of spirit objects.
Lin Yuan's cultivation system still centers around the Taiji Dao, focusing on the moon and sun essences as the core.
So the chosen cosmic spirit objects are naturally of yin and yang attributes.
"1.2 billion."
Lin Yuan glanced at the price.
This traversal made Lin Yuan advance far more tiers than in previous ones.
From the initial stage of third tier to the ninth segment of fourth tier, it's a difference of twenty-one segments.
Therefore, the chosen cosmic spirit objects this time are naturally of high quality.
In fact,
if he didn't have the privilege of a fourth-class citizen, no matter how much money Lin Yuan had,
he wouldn't even see such quality cosmic spirit objects.
"Still lacking money."
Lin Yuan sighed.
Normally, an evolver at the initial stage of the third tier, progressing to the ninth segment of the fourth tier, even in the best of circumstances without facing bottlenecks, would take centuries or even a millennium.
This assumes there's a complete evolution path to guide them.
For a third-tier evolver, spreading the cost of 12 billion over centuries of cultivation presents no stress.
But Lin Yuan, being such an abnormal monster, advanced too quickly in a short time, causing his wealth to not keep pace.
"A fourth-class citizen has a ten billion loan limit, plus I have my tournament winnings..."
Lin Yuan confirmed his identity information and purchased the two cosmic spirit objects.
The team event of this tournament provided Lin Yuan with nearly ten billion in winnings.
As for the individual event... since it's not yet concluded, all prizes will be settled at the end.
“I’ll upload the ‘Third Tier Chapter’ that I comprehended this time.”
Lin Yuan saw his account balance decrease and made a decision.
Uploading the subsequent parts of the Martial Dao evolution path has no drawbacks for Lin Yuan, only benefits.
Firstly, it can earn a large number of merit points.
And in the Universal Human Alliance, merit points are extremely important.
There are generally three ways normal citizens earn merit points.
One way is to enlist in the military and head to the frontier to battle alien races.
Each alien killed is a contribution to the entire civilization, thus earning corresponding merit points.
The second way is to serve the Universal Human Civilization, and based on assessments by the Three Goddesses, earn corresponding merit points.
For instance, the governor of Azure Wave Star,
if during his governance, the satisfaction rate among citizens is high,
and he's made genuine contributions to the planet, he can receive merit point rewards.
The third way is through research and invention, including various new discoveries, evolution paths, and other technologies.
In addition to these three, there are other ways to earn merit points.
Like discovering traces or plots of alien races by chance,
and reporting them to the Goddess of Wisdom, preventing losses for human civilization,
the Goddess of Wisdom then fairly evaluates the importance of such information and awards merit points accordingly.
In Lin Yuan's view, uploading the evolution path is undoubtedly the most cost-effective method to earn merit points.
As for killing alien races? The battlefields on the frontier are fraught with danger, Lin Yuan sees no need to take such a risk.
And serving the Universal Human Alliance as an officer or a bureaucrat is troublesome, with performance pressure as well.
Additionally,
perfecting the Martial Dao evolution path has another benefit.
It increases the ranking on the evolution list.
It's not like once Lin Yuan uploads the evolution path to the Goddess of Wisdom,
that the path is no longer his.
Lin Yuan remains the founder of the evolution path.
Within the Universal Human Alliance, for every citizen who purchases the Martial Dao evolution path for cultivation, Lin Yuan earns thirty percent of the income.
The greater the potential of the Martial Dao evolution path, the higher its ranking on the evolution list,
leading to bigger promotions and, ultimately, more wealth for Lin Yuan.
Importantly, this income is continuous.
That's just the direct impact.
Being the founder of a strong evolution path also brings many indirect, subtle influences.
“Third Tier Chapter.”
Lin Yuan began using his heaven-defying comprehension to make slight improvements to the ‘Third Tier Chapter’ of the Martial Dao evolution path.
To make it suitable for the main world citizens.
Two days later, Lin Yuan opened his eyes.
"Goddess of Wisdom."
Lin Yuan directly connected to the Goddess of Wisdom.
“Respected fourth-class citizen Lin Yuan, the Goddess of Wisdom is pleased to serve you.”
After being promoted to a fourth-class citizen, the attitude of the Goddess of Wisdom towards Lin Yuan has become increasingly gentle.
“I want to upload the third tier chapter of the Martial Dao evolution path,”
Lin Yuan said.
As for why there is no fourth tier chapter... currently Lin Yuan himself is still at the ninth segment of the fourth tier,
he hasn’t completely finished this level, so there’s no need to upload prematurely.
Besides, the third tier chapter is already sufficient.
The path of rule essence Lin Yuan chose is reflected in the third tier chapter.
Buzz.
As Lin Yuan rapidly uploaded the “third tier chapter” content.
In a mysterious space countless light-years away from Azure Wave Star.
A series of vast light screens flickered rapidly, using immense computational power to frantically evaluate and deduce the value of the 'Third Tier Chapter' of the Martial Dao evolution system.
The third tier chapter Lin Yuan uploaded was divided into 'Martial God Chapter' and 'Heavenly Being Chapter'.
“Detected in the ‘Martial God Chapter’ a high-level method for forging the body… Detected in the ‘Heavenly Being Chapter' involvement with origin rules power, re-evaluating the potential of Martial Dao evolution path.”
“Evaluation complete… Currently Martial Dao evolution path has a ten percent probability of advancing to a fifth-tier evolution path, six percent probability of advancing to a sixth-tier evolution path.”
“The possibility of Martial Dao evolution path advancing to sixth-tier evolution path exceeds five percent, triggering a confidentiality agreement in the charter.”
“Relevant plans are generated, henceforth all promotions concerning the human citizen with ID 123****** will be handled solely by the Three Goddesses, requiring no other authorization.”
“Commencing estimation of the value of the third tier chapter… Forty-thousand merit points, whether to seek authorization from the highest nearby citizen, not needed.”
Huayue District.
Residence No. 32.
Lin Yuan was adapting to his current 'weakened' body.
The solemn, cool voice of the Goddess of Wisdom rang out.
“Respected fourth-class citizen Lin Yuan.”
“So fast?” Lin Yuan showed a bit of surprise.
Compared to the previous two uploads of evolution paths, this time the Goddess of Wisdom responded much quicker.
“After the final evaluation, the third-tier chapter you uploaded is valued at forty-thousand merit points.”
The Goddess of Wisdom gave a reply.
“Good.” Lin Yuan nodded.
Forty-thousand merit points is the value of just the third-tier chapter, not the entire Martial Dao evolution path.
“Unfortunately, I'm still short a bit for advancing to a fifth-class citizen.”
Lin Yuan glanced at his merit point balance.
A fourth-class citizen needs fifty-thousand merit points to advance to a fifth-class citizen.
When Lin Yuan last advanced to a fourth-class citizen, he used up one thousand merit points, leaving him with nine hundred merit points.
Now, with the newly acquired forty-thousand merit points, he has a total of forty-nine thousand merit points.
“Let’s take a look at the updated information of the Martial Dao evolution path.”
Lin Yuan’s mind moved slightly, pulling up the panel for his evolution system.
“The ultimate potential is still sixth-tier.”
Lin Yuan touched his chin.
Achieving a seventh-tier evolution path is much harder than he imagined,
Even the insights he gained into various rules in the Divine Weapon World couldn't give the Martial Dao evolution path the slightest chance of advancing to the seventh tier.
“Perhaps... there's another restriction for a seventh-tier evolution path?”
Lin Yuan pondered a bit, and continued to look at the subsequent sections.
“The possibility of advancing to a fifth-tier evolution system remains ten percent, and a sixth-tier evolution path remains six percent.”
Lin Yuan showed a smile.
If he remembered correctly, before uploading the third-tier chapter, the possibility of the Martial Dao evolution path advancing to a sixth-tier evolution path was only one percent.
Now it has surged to six percent, obviously due to the rule essence.
“Right,”
“What’s the current rank of the Martial Dao evolution system on the Azure Wave evolution list?”
Lin Yuan was a bit curious, looking at the latest ranking of the Martial Dao evolution path.
Others wanting to know the real-time ranking of an evolution path must wait for updates to the Azure Wave evolution list.
But as the founder of the Martial Dao evolution path, Lin Yuan can naturally see any real-time information about his evolution path.
[Martial Dao evolution path: Azure Wave evolution list: First place]
Virtual world.
Personal room.
Lin Yuan sat cross-legged, at this time the environment simulated by his personal room was a vast desert.
The scorching air spread like flames.
“Hmm?”
Lin Yuan opened his eyes.
“President Liao is looking for me?”
Lin Yuan's mind moved slightly.
The desolate desert in front began to transform.
It soon turned into a villa-like place, with little bridges and flowing waters reminiscent of Jiangnan houses.
The next moment,
President Liao appeared in the chair opposite to him.
"Mr. Lin Yuan."
President Liao was quite respectful towards Lin Yuan.
After all, in the arena, the strength Lin Yuan displayed repeatedly shattered President Liao’s understanding.
Now, he has even made it into the top ten in the individual competition.
It's important to know that the Azure Wave Star's arena is open to all evolvers on the star.
For Lin Yuan to make it to the top ten on such a stage, what a heavenly talent he must be?
Even without thinking, President Liao knows that once this arena competition ends, Lin Yuan will soar instantly, reaching a level he can't even look up to.
"There’s just over a week before the final top ten showdown..."
President Liao revealed his purpose for coming.
Although from the previous records, it’s easy to see that compared to other monsters in the top ten, Lin Yuan’s odds aren't very high.
Many speculate that Lin Yuan might be the weakest among the top ten.
Still, at least some concern was shown.
No matter what, Lin Yuan has secured a top ten spot, a pride of Eastern Peace City in thousands of years.
“Mr. Lin Yuan, here’s what I collected, videos of battles involving those evolvers from the top ten, along with analyses by higher-tier evolvers. I'm sure you'll gain more understanding after watching.”
President Liao immediately opened a video and played it.
Battle videos aren’t rare, mainly it’s about the analyses provided by other evolvers.
You see, watching the same battle, evolvers of different levels often see different things.
Higher-tier evolvers can instantly see the weaknesses or shortcomings of the participants.
If Lin Yuan can get insights from the analyses, it might give him some edge in the upcoming top ten battles.
Top five or even the top three may seem like a stretch, but getting seventh or eighth place is still quite hopeful.
After all, reaching the global top ten implies comparable strength among participants, and perhaps having a bit more understanding could be pivotal.
“Mr. Lin, please have a look.”
President Liao played the video.
"So strong."
President Liao accompanied Lin Yuan in watching,
Despite having watched many times, President Liao was still shaken inside.
However,
Seated beside him, watching the video, Lin Yuan,
wasn't particularly concerned.
Before the traversal, those evolvers in the global top ten who once pressured Lin Yuan,
now, seemed too weak to him.
The fourth update.
Confirming the update time.
From now on, the updates will be around 6 PM every day.
Thanks, everyone for the support.
Thanks, thanks, thanks.
By the way, asking for some monthly votes~~~
