After handing in the afternoon exam, Li Zhuiyuan went to Old Zhai’s project team, whose signboard was hung at the old library.
After the new library was completed, a small part of the old library was repurposed; most of it was left unused.
When Li Zhuiyuan arrived, several trucks were parked outside and a group of senior students were unloading goods.
One big crate after another was carried in from the trucks.
That wasn’t even the worst part — the real headache came next, when everything had to be sorted and carefully placed.
This meant the project team was still in preparation and couldn’t start normal work yet.
Of course, how fast they could get going depended on the efficiency of those senior students.
A gangly girl wearing thick glasses, originally pouring water for others, noticed Li Zhuiyuan and came up to ask who his parents were, assuming the boy was the child of a faculty member.
Before Li Zhuiyuan could say his department and class, the girl laughed and said, “Oh, it’s you, junior!”
Old Zhai had probably told them in advance.
The senior who had called herself Sun Mei took Li Zhuiyuan and led him inside to handle the paperwork.
The procedure was simple, just a registration.
He was given an identity card and a key ring with five keys.
