The next morning.
"Your Majesty? Your Majesty...?"
Heize awoke, feeling the emptiness beside her, which was unusual.
She searched for Jared.
Since the conquest of this planet had already been completed, everyone had a comfortable place to rest.
It was a rare opportunity for her to stretch out and sleep peacefully.
"Your Majesty? Where have you gone?"
Heize wandered around.
It was not uncommon for him to practice his magic or train early in the morning.
She had not seen him leave.
She remembered seeing him take off Gorzas's necklace and catching a glimpse of him sleeping soundly beside her.
But something felt off.
A woman's intuition could not be explained, yet it often proved to be eerily accurate.
Although she had not heard anything from Jared about the next planet, she instinctively felt that he had left to handle things on his own, leaving his companions behind!
As expected, on the desk in front of the bedroom door lay a letter written in Jared's unmistakable handwriting.
"Sigh."
What was this feeling of having already read the contents without even looking? They say couples are of one mind, and it seemed her instincts were firing on all cylinders in this unnecessary situation.
Still, just to be sure, Heize read the letter.
