In some ways, the person who saw the most dramatic change in history after Hyang intervened was Cosimo de’ Medici.
Even before Hyang meddled in history, Cosimo de’ Medici, or rather the Medici family, was one of the richest in Europe.
But it was a case of a showy exterior hiding the truth.
Under the pretense of “giving back to society,” they invested wealth in building all sorts of public facilities, and beyond that, poured money into various construction projects.
Yet most of these ended in failure.
On top of that, they spent a huge fortune on war funds between city-states, and lavished political costs trying to win over monarchs of other countries.
Behind the scenes, the family was steadily crumbling.
However, once Hyang began to actively intervene in history, Cosimo’s story, and that of the Medici family, changed completely.
The biggest change was that the Medici bank, which had been sinking into deficits, turned profitable and became much stronger.
Behind this was the Empire.
At first, they started making profits by selling goods of the “Flower Country” in Europe.
Seeing the great potential in this trade, Cosimo boldly entered the relay trade business.
