Leaving Lin Songbao, who had changed his life, behind, Liang Qu returned home, gathered all his savings, and rode his red horse, Akshan, towards the largest market in Peaceful Sun County.
"Take a look, take a look, porcelain from the imperial capital, buy it and show off to your neighbors!"
"Curd syrup, with milk and brown sugar!"
"Cloud brocade, the finest cloud brocade, buy some for Madame to make a gown."
At the market, Liang Qu weaved through the bustling crowd.
He led his red horse, followed by two carriers.
For just three copper coins, you could hire a strong man to help carry various items for an hour, and with two more coins, they would deliver it to your home.
In the old Peaceful Sun Town, such jobs were unheard of or rare.
The big households had servants to do the shopping, while the poor wouldn't spend such money.
Only slightly wealthier families used such services, and one could hardly survive by doing this work alone.
