A fire-type beast and a ghost-type beast paired with a girl around fifteen years old would cause heads to turn at a rate of 100%. People were both amazed and hesitant to approach. No one dared believe that such a young child could control beasts with these two distinct attributes. As a result, nobody ventured within three meters of Qiao Sang.
Qingcheng Gardens. Building C, Room 606.
"We're all family now, so you two need to get along well, understand?" Qiao Sang said as she looked at the two little beasts, their eyes wide open in surprise.
The Fire Tooth Dog looked at the Little Treasure Ghost with a suspicious expression. In contrast, the Little Treasure Ghost stared back in confusion.
"Yaba, don’t be so scared! It was just born less than a day ago. Didn’t you see it come out of the egg?" Qiao Sang chuckled.
She understood why the Fire Tooth Dog was so wary. Since watching a ghost movie, the Fire Tooth Dog had become sensitive to ghost-type beasts, and today at the beast center, it was the first to notice the Little Treasure Ghost hanging upside down in a tree.
If the Little Treasure Ghost could help the Fire Tooth Dog understand ghost-type beasts better, it would ease its fears and save them from having to visit haunted houses in the future. After all, if the Fire Tooth Dog panicked at the sight of ghost-type beasts, how would it be able to compete against Beast Masters with such partners?
"Ya," the Fire Tooth Dog obediently responded, though it remained on guard.
Sensing the Fire Tooth Dog's caution, the Little Treasure Ghost slowly floated closer. With a sudden leap, the Fire Tooth Dog sprang onto the nearby sofa, creating distance.
But the Little Treasure Ghost didn't give up. It wobbled as it tried to float higher, but before reaching even a meter, it lost control and fell. Luckily, Qiao Sang was quick and caught it.
"Xun~" The Little Treasure Ghost called sweetly, its body glowing with a soft blue light. This time, it floated steadily about one and a half meters above the ground.
Qiao Sang felt tears welling up, touched by the child's remarkable talent. Just born, yet already able to harness powers of the super ability type! If she hadn’t been so observant and quick-minded, she would have missed this extraordinary Little Treasure Ghost.
At the beast center, she sensed that the Little Treasure Ghost was different. Its reactions seemed to resonate with her emotions. When she felt disheartened about the growth limits of the three beasts she had chosen, the Little Treasure Ghost cried out in sympathy. Later, when she thought about how cute it was, it smiled back at her. This ability to sense one’s inner thoughts, known as telepathy or extrasensory perception, was something only super ability-type beasts possessed.
Initially, she wasn’t sure. It wasn’t until she noticed the Little Treasure Ghost suddenly focusing on something by the door that she felt certain. A newly born beast would be sensitive and curious about the world around it, easily captivated by new sights and sounds. With so much happening around it—staff chatting and the Little Treasure Ghost in front of it crying—it was strange that it would be drawn to the door unless something outside caught its attention.
If the Little Treasure Ghost truly had super ability powers, then all its actions made sense. Its powers had allowed it to perceive movements outside, and being newly born, it was using this ability for the first time, leading to its curiosity. If her speculation was correct, then they had unearthed a ghost-type beast with super ability powers.
With countless extraordinary creatures in the world, many possessed dual or even multiple attributes. For instance, the small dragon she had previously encountered was both ground-type and dragon-type, while the Fire Arrow Owl was a combination of flying-type and fire-type. However, such combinations were common. Both super ability and ghost types were rare; finding even one in the world that combined these two was likely impossible.
If the people at Hanggang Beast Center discovered that they had exchanged a beast with such potential for just a 500,000 Alliance Coin voucher, they would surely regret their decision.
After leaving the beast center, Qiao Sang admired the page about the Little Treasure Ghost in the Beastmaster Codex for what felt like the sixth time.

Every time she looked, her excitement only grew. But then, a worry crept in about how the Fire Tooth Dog might feel left behind. After all, the Fire Tooth Dog was so competitive, it would surely be challenged by having a much younger and more impressive partner beside it.
Meanwhile, the Little Treasure Ghost floated in front of the Fire Tooth Dog, awkwardly took off its ring, and pulled out a small bottle of milk, presenting it to the Fire Tooth Dog. The label on the milk bottle read "For Young Beasts Only."
This milk was a gift from the center, specially designed for newly born young beasts. The Fire Tooth Dog had enjoyed it back when it was at the center. Looking at the bottle, memories of that taste made the Fire Tooth Dog swallow hard.
After hesitating for a moment, it finally stretched out its paw and accepted the bottle.
When Qiao Sang returned her attention from the Beastmaster Codex, she saw the Fire Tooth Dog and the Little Treasure Ghost sitting side by side, happily drinking milk together.
Qiao Sang was stunned.
Could it be that she had been engrossed in the Codex for not one minute but a whole hour?
At 6:10 PM, Ye Xiangting returned home, cooking dinner as usual. When her daughter emerged from her room, her eyes immediately landed on the ghost-type extraordinary creature perched on her head.
Ye Xiangting quickly covered her mouth, afraid she might scream. After forcing herself to calm down, she took out her phone.
“Mom, what are you doing?” Qiao Sang asked.
“Calling the inspection department,” Ye Xiangting replied.
“Why are you calling them?” Qiao Sang wondered.
“I need to tell you something. Stay calm, and don’t act rashly,” Ye Xiangting said quietly. “I’ll send you a message. Look at your phone, don’t speak, just reply to me through the phone.”
Seeing her mother’s serious expression, Qiao Sang nodded, feeling a growing tension.
Three seconds passed.
Qiao Sang turned to her phone.
[You have a Little Treasure Ghost on your head.]
Qiao Sang: "..."
“Mom, this is the pet I just contracted today.”
“What did you say…” Ye Xiangting paused, then her voice rose in disbelief, “What did you just say?!”
“This is the pet I just contracted today,” Qiao Sang answered.
She lifted the Little Treasure Ghost from her head and introduced it. “Little Treasure Ghost, this is my mom.”
“Xun~” The Little Treasure Ghost sweetly called out to Ye Xiangting.
After processing this information, Ye Xiangting seemingly composed herself and asked, “Your beast codex can contract a second pet now?”
Realizing that seeing was believing, Qiao Sang directly showed her how she put the Little Treasure Ghost in and out of the Beastmaster Codex in front of her mother.
Seeing the gray star array and the disappearing Little Treasure Ghost, Ye Xiangting could no longer doubt it. She leaped up from her chair and hurried back to her room.
“Mom, what are you doing?” Qiao Sang asked.
“I’m making a call,” her mother answered.
Qiao Sang reminded her, “But you haven’t eaten yet!”
Her mother’s voice came from the room, “I’ll eat later!”
Qiao Sang: "..."
