High above, the other officials who hadn’t been affected by the whirlwind watched the disappearing girl and the Lava Beast and their faces changed.
“That Lava Beast probably still has some wraithfire slurry inside it. Shall we go after it?” the round-faced official asked.
The man in the black field jacket thought for a moment and said, “Forget it. That girl was probably just spooked by the sudden fight and made a mistake taking the Lava Beast with her. Her fire-type pet can move inside the volcano center too. If she needed the wraithfire slurry, her pet could have brought it out. No need to keep chasing that Lava Beast.”
“But even if she’s not one of them, are we just going to give up on the wraithfire slurry inside that Lava Beast?” the round-faced official pressed.
The man hesitated, then said, “There probably isn’t much wraithfire slurry left inside it. After all, it didn’t stay in long before the volcano erupted. Even the fire-type pet that brought it out was still dazed.”
