Qiao Sang didn’t fancy herself an absolute saint, nor someone who liked sticking her nose into other people’s business.
But the boy in front of her was the one she had pulled out from the subway.
Taking him safely to the police station felt like something she could — and should — do.
That policeman who showed up earlier had been way too suspicious, arriving even before the real police could.
There were two possibilities.
Either it was the classic collusion scenario you see in TV dramas, or some pet had the ability to pinpoint their location.
Rationally, Qiao Sang thought the latter was more likely.
Still, she’d watched enough dramas and movies to know the first possibility couldn’t be ignored.
So the safest choice was to personally take the boy to the station.
Caution paid off.
Only with enough caution could one unconsciously avoid risks.
“I’ll do whatever you say.” Tim answered without thinking.
