Hmm...
I’ve heard that many authors write a little something when their work is launched.
But what should I say?
Sigh~ It feels like writing a self-reflection… just thinking about the plot every day already consumes so many brain cells! I’ll just write casually.
I won’t do the whole pity party thing or try to stir emotions; I’ll just say whatever comes to mind.
This book actually came about in a flash of inspiration, just some casual scribbling, and I didn’t expect it to do so well.
I’m truly grateful to all the readers, big brothers and sisters, for following along and supporting this book to get to where it is now.
Especially to those who voted and gave rewards, thank you for being there through the hardest times.
Every day when I see the favorites and voting data, my heart fills with motivation.
The editor informed me that the book will be launched tomorrow at noon.
I used to update chapters at midnight every day, but there won’t be an update tonight at midnight; I’m saving everything for the big update tomorrow at noon.
When it launches, there will be a huge update of over ten thousand words, and I’ll keep that going for about five days.
After that, updates will depend on how busy I am.
But I’ll definitely aim for at least six thousand words a day.
If there are rewards, I’ll have even more motivation, haha!
Some readers asked how to get more updates.
I’m not sure how other authors do it, but I’ll start by adding two extra chapters for the Alliance Leader.
I’ll let everyone know any changes in the group later.
If there aren’t any rewards... haha~ then I’ll stick to the six thousand words…
Actually, I write pretty slowly, only about a thousand words an hour, since I also have to do research.
And I’m not a full-time writer, so the time I can dedicate to writing each day isn’t very certain.
But I’ll try to write a bit more every day, especially since so many readers are urging me to write more.
As for the situation in that era and the prices of things, a lot of it I can only learn from the older generation, so don’t take it too seriously.
Just have some fun reading!
I’m saying whatever comes to mind, but let me emphasize again: tomorrow at noon, the book launches!
Tomorrow at noon, the book launches!
Tomorrow at noon, the book launches!
Please subscribe! A good first subscription leads to great things!
Currently, we have over three thousand paying readers following along each day.
I hope to hit three thousand first subscriptions within the 24 hours after the launch.
I’m not sure if we can meet that goal, as I’ve been writing for over a month without getting close to one thousand five hundred full subscriptions this month.
I hope the kind-hearted readers can help contribute a first subscription to help us reach the target!
The launching site is Qidian Chinese Network; only subscriptions from Qidian count towards the first subscription!
A huge thanks to those who contribute subscriptions!
If we surpass the goal by a hundred subscriptions, I’ll add another chapter.
But if we can’t reach three thousand… sigh~ there’s not much I can do about that; I can’t just stop updating.
The first subscription data is quite important; I’ve heard it affects future recommendations.
Some friends suggested that when launching, I should do some sort of anti-piracy tactic and first update some garbled chapters and then replace them.
But I thought that wasn’t necessary, since anyone looking for pirated material would find it anyway.
Plus, it would negatively affect the reading experience for paying readers.
Actually, subscribing to a chapter doesn’t even cost much—if you subscribe to a million-word book, it would only be around forty or fifty bucks.
For high-quality authors, even less than that—just the price of a few bubble teas! I hope everyone supports legitimate reading; otherwise, I really will starve!
To avoid cheapskates who read while complaining, I’ve set some fan points required for commenting, just to keep things pleasant.
I initially wanted to release a special chapter cover as a surprise, but the new author backend doesn’t have that feature, so I’ll just let it be.
Alright, that’s all! I should have said everything I needed to.
I’ll strive to update and write exciting content, and I hope you’ll subscribe and support me!
Tomorrow at noon, the book launches.
If you're interested, feel free to join the reader group for this work.
