Deep within the Special Operations Bureau building, inside the spacious director’s office, Yu Sheng pushed the door open and stepped in. “Just in time—I have quite a few things I want to ask you.”
Baili Qing, sitting behind the desk, was obviously used to Yu Sheng barging in like this.
She didn’t even move, just looked up at him as he found a chair in the room and dragged it over to sit opposite her.
After a while, she asked, “What do you want to know?”

He glanced at Baili Qing’s desk. “Got a new desk, huh?”
Baili Qing’s tone was slightly ambiguous. “…That’s one of the questions?”

After sorting it out, he said, “‘Ominous Goddess.’ I want to know if the Special Operations Bureau has any information on this name—or any intel related to the word ‘Ominous.’”
Almost the instant he finished speaking, Baili Qing shook her head. “Nothing.”
