Silver City was an ancient city with a thousand years of history. Though rich in heritage, its age meant that much of its layout was muddled and unclear. This was an issue difficult to verify under normal circumstances, but now it had become a hiding place for Audel to slip into.
She walked to the front of a warehouse and carefully checked to see if she was being followed. Then, she knocked lightly a few times in a specific rhythm. The sound of a bolt being drawn back quickly came from behind the large door.
First, a pointed elf ear peeked out, followed by the face of Hill, the captain of the scout squad. It was a bit absurd, really. They clearly had excellent scouts, yet they had sent Audel, a mage, to gather intelligence.
This was mainly because the focus of today's reconnaissance was the Royal Palace in the city's center, to check on the defensive arrangements of the Enwei Demon Kingdom. As for the layout of the Royal Palace, besides Audel, only Viola and Zola were the most familiar.
