The group sent from the Holy Nation to pursue the saintess numbered five in total. The core members were three: the holy warrior Alma, the priest Shilma, and the Inquisitor Bert. The actual fighting fell to Alma and his two disciples, and Alma's martial prowess was, needless to say, overwhelming.
The Church's supreme martial strength was, of course, represented by the Holy Knights. They were reputed to possess martial prowess equal to that of the knights known across the continent. That didn't mean the holy warrior order was weak.
After all, within their ranks were individuals whose skill rivaled that of knights. And behind them loomed the Church itself, did it not? For that alone, the Church's holy warriors commanded respect wherever they went.
Not that every holy warrior was like that. In the holy warrior order of abundance, those who failed to prove their skill did not receive a name and were simply called someone's disciple or a warrior in training—as were Alma's disciples now.
The lack of a name stemmed from the belief that upon devoting oneself to the Church, one became like fallen fruit or a fallen leaf. It signified forgetting all that was gained in the mundane world and striving only to serve god.
