‘Leave traces of entering the forest.’
Then most of the pursuers can be driven here. A forest isn’t a good place to search. So their search will take time.
Wouldn’t that buy at least half a day to find the traces and give chase?
They would.
I drove them here, and the saintess girl went another way. Put simply, that was it. She was a kid who used her head remarkably well.
If not, someone had trained it into her until it was etched into her bones. Here, a question rises again.
‘Why did a holy warrior come in person?’
Listening to the chatter, the pursuers from the Holy Nation are the holy warrior order. A part of the Holy Nation’s armed forces stepped in.
Why?
It’s just chasing one child. Why would a holy warrior, who proves themselves through battle, come for this? Because the holy warrior order was involved, they must have been required to notify the Kingdom.
My mind spun fast and reached one conclusion. What the saintess girl hadn’t calculated was the existence of a force that, whether a manticore appeared or not, could dice it to cubes, circle the forest in one breath, and still be fine. Enkrid could reach this conclusion because he had circled the forest’s outskirts in one breath like that.
