Chen Qi arrived at the studio.
The set was designed to resemble an indoor scene from Chenjiagou.
The filming was supposed to be completed in the past couple of days, after which they would move to outdoor locations.
However, when he arrived, he noticed that Li Wenhua was nowhere to be seen, and the entire crew had come to a halt.
“Where’s Director Li?” Chen Qi asked.
“No idea. He was in the middle of filming when he suddenly got called away. Sister Xue was also called away,” Li Lianjie replied.
“Do you know where they went?”
“Uh, I think it had something to do with an investigation… Now that everyone’s gone, what should we do?” Wang Qun asked.
“I’ll go find out more. You guys can wrap up for now.”
Chen Qi then went to look for Wang Yang.
Wang Yang also looked troubled. “Someone wrote a complaint letter to the Film Bureau, and now they’ve come to investigate.”
“Complaining about me?”
“No, the first complaint is about Li Wenhua misusing production funds, and the second is about Gong Xue getting into the Beijing Film Studio through connections.”
“That’s ridiculous!”
